What is a Skor Chocolate Bar?

Skor is a chocolate toffee bar produced by The Hershey Company. It was first marketed in the United States in 1981 and in Canada starting in 1983. The Skor bar consists of a thin slab of butter toffee covered in a milk chocolate coating. It’s soooooo good – especially in this toffee apple dip recipe!

How to make this Caramel Cheesecake Apple Dip in 10 minutes

This recipe is only 3 easy steps:

  1. Beat the room temperature cream cheese with brown sugar until smooth. Spread thinly onto large serving plate.
  2. Heat the caramel slightly (about 15 second in microwave) to make spreadable. Spread on top of cream cheese.
  3. Chop the Skor into tiny bits, then sprinkle the Skor bits all over the top. Serve with sliced Granny Smith apples for dipping.

How to chop the Skor Chocolate Bar

Because Skor Chocolate bars are full of hard toffee, they are very hard to chop. To make chopping quick and easy, I use my Slap Chop vegetable chopper to crush the Skor chocolate bars.

  1. Loved making this. And may I add, ate half the dip even before it was done. It was too tempting. The chocolate and the caramel and cream cheese combo was incredible.
