My kids absolutely love these mummy dogs and request them every year. They make the perfect Halloween appetizer. You could also serve them for Halloween dinner with a bowl of warm chili.

Why you’ll love these mummified hot dogs:

These hot dog mummies are SO easy to make and take only 3 simple ingredients: hot dogs, crescent rolls and candy eyes! They are great to make for Halloween and are the perfect festive party appetizer. My kids always go crazy over them!

I love making mini mummy hot dogs with lil’ smokies too. They are so cute! You could also always make your own homemade pizza dough to make these mummy hot dogs, but Halloween night is usually a little hectic at our house so we go with easy. 🙂

  4. Cut each rectangle lengthwise into 1/2″ strips and join 2 together to form one long “bandage”.
  5. 10 pieces, making a total of 40 pieces of dough. Slice cheese slices into quarters (1/2 slice cheese, cut in half).
  6. Wrap “bandage” of dough around each hot dog and 1/4 slice of cheese.
  7. Make sure to leave a gap for face.
  8. Place wrapped hot dogs (cheese side down) on non stick cookie sheet and lightly spray with cooking spray.

  10. Place a small piece of cheese where eyes go and place in oven to melt slightly.
  11. Place two candy eyes on each mummy.

To make Garlic Mummy Dogs:

Substitute 1 (11-oz.) can refrigerated garlic breadstick dough. Proceed with recipe as directed.

How to make Spider Web dipping sauce for Mummy Dogs:

We love to make this spider web sauce to dip the mummy hot dogs in. All you need is some ketchup and mustard.

1. Pour the ketchup into a bowl.
2. Next draw a few circles on top with the mustard.
3. Then use a toothpick to draw the lines to create the web.

Super easy and the kids love to dip the mummy dogs into it!
