Cooking is a passion that needs a lot of dedication to be perfect. While some people can easily turn out a great dish tasting absolutely spectacular, there are some who struggle with the process. What if I told you that you can improve your cooking overnight with 5 simple cooking tips? That would be great, wouldn’t it?

5 Simple Cooking Tips
If you’re struggling with your cooking, today I’m sharing 5 simple cooking tips on how you can improve your cooking overnight. With a little bit of practice, you too can become as proficient in the kitchen.
Cooking Tip #1: Hold the knife accurately
When you start preparing a meal, what is the first thing that needs to be done? Usually the answer is chopping, slicing, dicing and cutting the ingredients.
This is the most important part of the cooking process and hence, you need to perfect it. The key to a great dish depends on how you chop your ingredients. To ideally cut the vegetables and meats, you need good quality knives and to ace your knife skills, but how?
For that, you need to hold the knife correctly. Grab the handle of the knife in a manner that your index finger and thumb lays on the sides of the blade. This gives you a better grip and control over the knife and you can chop the ingredients with absolute precision. Then, lightly wrap the remaining fingers around the handle of the knife, bending them all the way around the knife without gripping the handle tightly. Your grip should remain just firm enough to hold the knife. Use as little force as possible to accomplish that task while cutting.

Cooking Tip #2: Choose high quality ingredients
This the crucial part of the cooking process. Fresh and premium quality ingredients are the key to a spectacular dish. Hence, whenever you want to cook a meal, make sure you pick the best possible ingredients. It will enhance the flavors of your dish to a whole new level.

Cooking Tip #3: Use kosher salt instead of normal table salt
If you want to improve the taste of your dish, then this tip is an easy and effective way to do so. Sea salt or kosher salt has a very different taste to it than normal table salt. Replacing the normal salt with kosher salt will escalate the taste of your dish entirely and it will be more flavorsome.

Cooking Tip #4: Never crowd the pan with ingredients
This is a very common mistake that people often make. Overcrowding the skillet or pan with lots of ingredients together can completely ruin the taste and texture of a dish. When you stir fry something in a pan, make sure you don’t add too many of the items together. You need to keep enough space between the ingredients so that you can still see the bottom of the pan.

Cooking Tip #5: Reduce liquids to enhance the flavor
Whenever you are cooking stew or gravy or any liquid item, make sure you simmer it for longer until it gets rich and a bit more concentrated. A rich and thick gravy tastes a thousand times better than a thin and runny one. If you cook the liquid for longer, it will intensify the flavors and the dish will taste spectacular.

Conclusion
These above tips are very easy to execute and are guaranteed to bring a change in your cooking and improve the quality and taste of the dishes you make.
If you practice these steps you can easily cook like a professional and everyone will praise and love the taste and look of your dish.
