The Road to Boston: Week 12, the Non-Recap

* Cough * Cough * Hack * Hack *

That is what I’ve literally looked like this past week, and there has therefore been absolutely no running.  There really hasn’t been much of anything except my own whining. Oh my goodness… I HATE being sick!!!

I’ve been so ill that I put my Pact App on pause so that I don’t feel all stressed out worrying about fitting my three workouts in so that I don’t have to pay.  Normally I love that the app forces my cheap-a$$ to workout, but not this week – I need to rest and recover so I can get back to posting sweaty selfies on instagram & facebook and bragging about running in the ridiculous cold.

That said, I did have a great time doing some non-fitness stuffs with the girls.  On Saturday we were invited by IÃ-GO Yogurt to attend a fun creative art session for their Go Bubble Crazy contest launch (create your own comic strip with their comic creator and you can win some seriously awesome prizes like an iPad!):

The event was really fun! The girls and I learned a few comic tricks from Jo Rioux (the artist who drew the cartoons on the side of the Zip Yogurt packages).  And I even “drew” my own comic:

It’s me running on a hot summer day wearing my running skirt.  The first box says: What a beautiful day for a run. The second box says: Why am I doing this?!?  And the third box says: I should have gone for a swim.

Yeah, I’ll stick to Bitstrips 🙂

Anyways, the IÃ-GO Yogurt event was fun and I’ll write more about it later this week when I’m rested because I’ve got an awesome giveaway for 5 you!

I’m tired now * cough * cough * hack * hack * so I’m gonna head back to bed, but in the mean time I hope you all have a great week!

Have you ever drawn a comic?

    I seriously hope you feel better soon Janice… I have not been sick for over 5 years and I am hoping this one going around does not catch up to me…it sounds like it takes the good out of you… Rest up, there will be plenty of time to train 🙂

      Thanks Launna! Agreed – training will just have to wait. I hope that the nasty flu/cold bug going around doesn’t get you and that you can continue your wellness streak, that is seriously impressive!
