My 5 Must Have Fitness Items

Hey guys,

I ‘m having a crazy busy hectic day, and I had a crazy hectic night last night, so Day 20 of the August Healthy Living / Fitness Blogger Writing Challenge is a rush post thumb-typed on my phone ” I am so sorry! I promise you I ‘ll have a better one typed up for tomorrow. (Forgive me?). Today we’re writing about our:

5 Must Have Fitness Items

  1. Shoes: Some people can run barefoot, but I’ve had a history of plantar fasciitis, so shoes are a complete must for me.
  2. My iPhone: I cannot run without it. I need the music to distract me, and the GPS because if I can’t post my distance to DailyMile/Twitter/FaceBook I get all twitchy. Big kudos to Katja who managed to get out there and run today despite having a broken iPhone ” you rock girl! I could not do that.
  3. Water: I love my Clean water bottle and can’t run without it:
  4. Socks: I tried to run without them once but it wasn’t pretty. I have done spinning and BodyPump classes without them though and I survived.
  5. An elastic band: I can’t stand my hair in my face while I ‘m running

What are your 5 must have fitness items?

I totally agree about the iPhone, socks, and hair elastic! I’d need a mile long list! 🙂

Need my shoes, water, wicking ball cap so there’s no drippiness in my eyes, sunglasses, and my iPhone. It’s doable without an iPhone, but I was twitchy today.

shoes, iphone, ridiculusly expensive running socks, my visor, and last but not at all least, my SPIbelt. Because without the spibelt I’d have nowhere to put my iphone and then I’d really be crying!

What about change for the bus? I always make sure I have an exit strategy in case I do my usual clumsy number and have to limp home. Nancy Drew always had $20 for emergencies and so do I.

Shoes and iPhone were on my list, too. But, I also had some non-tangible things.

I have been in sort of a rush too, so here are mine! I didn’t even think about a hair band, even though that is literally crucial to my workout!

Did you see the episode of “Shark Tank” where the guy who started the Clean Water Bottle company pitched to the sharks? It was great! I have a lot of similar “must haves” to yours. I agree with the hair band too… I HATE hair in my face! Oh, and BTW – you are amazing for being able to blog on your iPhone. What the heck? I cannot figure it out to save my life – hence the delays in all the posts 🙂

What Cheer Shoes do you wear? My daughter has plantar fasciitis and she is an all star cheerleader. What do you recommend and what works for you?

I wish I could help you – but admittedly, I do not know anything about cheerleading. My blog is about being a fitness motivator (hence the term cheerleader). I do have a certificate in Athletic Therapy, and suggest that perhaps your daughter visit a Sports Physiotherapist, or an Athletic Trainer so that they can assess the CAUSE of her plantar fasciitis. Perhaps her Physio or AT can recommend shoes or orthotics that can help alleviate the pain.

      All the best,
