Where I Run

Chinguacousy Park – Brampton, ON

Two years ago, a co-worker introduced me to running laps around the park right beside our workplace. At first I questioned her: why would you ever want to run the same 2.5 km loop around a park several times a week?

Well as winter turned to Spring, then turned to Summer, and Fall, I realised why – Chinguacousy Park is very beautiful, all year long! Because I enjoy the park so much, I thought I’d share with you a collection of photos I took while running last week (though I apologise in advance for them being blurry, as I was actually running while taking these pictures):

This is one of the many flower gardens that can be found throughout the park:

There’s a brand new track for doing speedwork and repeats:

There’s a tropical garden, and greenhouse (that I’ve only visited the once because I was injured and had to walk around the park instead of run):

There’s a small “ski” hill:

A playground for the kids:

There’s also a petting zoo, paddle boats, a skate park, curling and duck ponds:

All in all, I really enjoy my lunches because of the beautiful park right next door that I get to enjoy almost every day!

I usually do the waterfront trail (Burlington/Hamilton) for my long runs. I love it even if I do have to drive across town to get there.
