What’s Your Motivation?


We all have different things that motivate us to be active and eat healthy.  For some it’s their family, kids etc.. For others it’s their overall health….

Here’s mine:

Thats me with Jonathan Knight from New Kids on The Block (he’s my celebrity boyfriend).

This June I’ll get to meet him… AGAIN!!  (I have Meet n Greet tickets for their concert with Back Street Boys in Toronto).  I’m so stokked!  And that means I’m going to work towards beeing the best ME I can be by:

  • eating my 7-8 servings of fruits and veggies
  • Drinking 60 oz of water/day – using my hydracoach
  • Trying to sleep 7 hrs a night – might be hard with a newborn, but I’m trying..
  • Getting 30min of cardio/day – started couch to 5k
  • Strength training 3x/week – doing mommy/baby bootcamp class and The Shred

What’s your motivation this year? And what are you doing to reach your goals?

    ha! That’s awesome! It took me a second to recognize him 🙂 I once stood in line when I was younger to meet the parents of NKOTB… yup, the parents. I was that crazy, along with the hundreds of other love-sick teenage girls waiting in the same line 🙂

    I still haven’t set my workout goals for 2011, but my first motivator is our Caribbean trip in the spring. After months of being bundled up in sweaters and winter coats, feeling good in my bathing suit is my motivation!

    Congratulations on your new little one!

    …and Wow! I think that is so awesome and a great motivation to get back or maintain your shape! I am 37 years old and am 12 weeks pregnant with my first child. I have to admit I am definitely on cloud 9! I have always been into health, working out hard and staying in shape…it’s definitely a lifestyle! I will say I have been so sick (nauseous)and haven’t worked out since I’ve been sick…trust me, I want to badly, but there is not meds. or home remedies that take away that naasty nauseous feeling (I’ve tried everything!) Since you have been down this road at least once, Any advice? Thank you:-)

      Hugs! I’ve been down that road 3 times 🙂 My third pregnancy was the one in which I decided to stay in control… I ate frequent healthy meals & kept working out (ran 500km through that pregnancy). It didn’t make the nausea go away, but it at least made me feel in control of my body.

    I absolutely agree that everyone should have their own “motivators”. Mine is to imagine the idea of me looking fat. That’s a great motivator to stay on course and fight the fat!!
