Taking the Pink Hair Dare

I had this big “editorial schedule” planned out in my head for this week – posts that I wanted to write, but by the time I finally got a chance to sit down at the end of the day and write, I couldn’t remember what I wanted to say. I think one post was a beginner strength training circuit, and another was about being nominated for an inspirational blogger award (thanks Pepper and Jen)! I’ll have to write about both of those topics later this week because today I feel like telling you all about the Pink Hair Dare.

What’s the Pink Hair Dare?

For a donation of $20 I took The Pink Hair Dare at work. Basically a team of hair stylists visited my work place to challenge us to take the dare – to wear a Pink Hair extension during the month of October to show that we care about someone with cancer. our donations also help to provide cancer support programs to hundreds of people in my community this year through Wellspring Chinguacousy. Wellspring Chinguacousy offers support programs to cancer patients and their families, free of charge!

So I made my donation today, and was given my beautiful, pink hair extension:

Wowsers! That’s REALLY pink!

Then the hair stylist attached the extension to a few strands of my hair:

Is this gonna hurt?

It was all over within a few minutes, and voila! This is what I look like with PINK hair:

And you know what? I really dig my pink hair! What do you think?

Question/Sharing:

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve done to raise money for charity?

Disclaimer: No one asked me, nor paid me to take the Pink Hair Dare. It was completely my own choice, and I love it!

I love it! It’s so cute. I’m not into extensions, but I would totally dye my hair pink. It’s been blue, purple and various shades of blonde and brown. Why not?

Honestly, I have never done anything out of the box to raise money. It has always been the standard route of techniques. 😉
