And Happy early Thanksgiving to all of my US readers! Our Thanksgiving was 5 weeks ago and I have to admit that I like the big break between Thanksgiving, Halloween, Remembrance Day and Christmas, though I am a lot envious of all of the turkey and desserts you’ll have this week. For us it’ll be yet another cold dreary November week. Speaking of which, isn’t November weather the worst?!? Ugh I am so not ready for the cold!
My “training” this week was good. I’ve settled into a good routine of 4-5 runs/week, 2 bootcamp classes and 1 kettlebell workout. Next I want to add in the bedtime core workout every night.
(Do you still call it training when you don’t have any races on the schedule?!?)
Monday: Boot camp class – our trainer is really making us work hard! Our group of boot campers have been doing this class pretty consistently since the spring so our trainer is making us do the more advanced moves. For instance instead of unweighted russian twists, we’re now doing it with a 10lb medicine ball that we throw to him and then have to catch when he throws it back!
Tuesday: I tried to go for a run but it was BRUTAL! My cat jumped on my head at 5 am to play with me. It’s ok when I need to get up and run, but on the other days it just leaves me sapped of any energy. I really struggled through my 6k run.
Wednesday: Boot camp class – two 15 minute circuits followed by 10 minutes of core work.
Thursday: Another 6k strugglefest run. Maybe it was because it was the day after boot camp?
Friday: 8k lunch run – I felt like I was flying! It was a fantastic run, yay!
Saturday: Went to watch Amber’s hockey game, then drove Brooke to her softball practice and ran 7k while Brooke was practicing, then after drove brooke over to watch Sierra’s hockey game, then after Sierrra’s game I drove back to our town to watch Amber’s second hockey game. Fitting in my fitness during our weekends takes planning and creativity!

Sunday: Not as busy of a day as Saturday. Did laundry, cleaned the house, watched Sierra’s hockey game and did the Ultimate EMOM Kettlebell workout
Total distance: 27 k

Monday: 6k morning run + Lunch Bootcamp Class
Tuesday: Easy 8k lunch run + Bedtime Core Workout
Wednesday: 8k speedwork morning run + lunch Bootcamp class
Thursday: Easy 6k lunch run + Bedtime Core Workout
Friday: Easy 7k lunch run + Bedtime Core Workout
Saturday: Kettlebell HIIT Workout
Sunday: 10k run + Bedtime Core Workout
