Motivation Monday: September in Numbers

Two more weeks until my half marathon!!  Wowsers! I can’t believe how far I’ve come!

When I whipped out my credit card this past January to register for a pile of races this year, I was 25 lbs heavier than I am now.  I had just had a baby, and I hadn’t run in months – not that the wogging I was doing during my pregnancy really counted as running. The fact that I hadn’t run a half-marathon in over 8 yrs didn’t scare me – I knew that if I trained regularly I could do it.

The training that I did in September a great example of how far I’ve come from that fateful morning:

  • Number of training runs: 14
  • Number of training runs pushing a jogging stroller: 12
  • Longest training run: 14 km
  • Shortest training run: 3 km
  • Time spent training: 11 hrs 18 min 43 sec
  • Total kilometers ran: 96.98
  • Total calories burned training: 5047
  • Average pace per kilometer: 7 min

I had no idea I would come this far – and you know what?

    My hat goes off to you, you are awesome! One day, that will be me too, I never thought that I would crave a good run. Now, I can’t imagine not wanting to run. You are such and inspiration 🙂
