Motivation Monday: October 25, 2010

This is my Mamavation post for Monday, October 25, 2010.

Hey everyone!

Mamavation Monday

Mamavation Monday

How was your week last week? Did your drink your water? Get your beauty sleep? And eat your 7-8 servings of fruits and veggies? (Remember: fruit and veggies are chock full of fiber!).

For me, this was the week of the good, the bad and the ugly. For the purposes of moving onwards, I’ll focus on all of the good things first.

I’m strong and beautiful (thanks Kia!). Hubby says I look FAHBULOUS and I’ve made it to FULL TERM!!! I’m 37 weeks 4 days! Another 3 days and this’ll be the LONGEST I’ve carried a baby! I’m so excited to welcome a fat healthy strong baby to our family. I just wonder how much longer we’ll have to wait to meet him/her? With two early deliveries behind me, going 40 weeks seems like an eternity! Thankfully I finished work on Friday, so now I’ll be home to tweet & motivate you for a whole 53 weeks! (52 weeks + 1 week of vacation). Doesn’t the Canadian maternity leave rock? I had a midwife appointment today and she says baby is growing well and in a head down position, I’m 2cm dilated. I had a humongous 7lb weight gain this week! Ouch! My midwife offered to do a “sweep & stretch” but I turned it down. I’m not in a huge hurry to meet baby just yet. Maybe I’ll take her up on the offer at my appointment next week?

Hubby and I have been battling a killer head cold ALL week. I’ve been exhausted and have headed to bed with the kids every night – hence why you haven’t seen me much on Twitter. I’m starting to feel better today. Yay! I have a feeling I’m going to need all of my energy soon 🙂

Our 10.5 year old Rotti, Molly, who was my best training & most enthusiastic running partner passed away suddenly Friday night due to multiple strokes. We were able to be at her side during her last moments, and she was comfortable at home. I wrote more about it in a post called “Remembering Molly” on my personal blog.

Oh Darling, 37 weeks prego is wonderful! I didn’t make it past 34 on either kiddo. They were all too determined to make a grand entrance early. 😉

Losing your training buddy is so sad!

I can’t wait to me Mini Cheerleader soon…

I am sorry to hear about Molly. I know this is one week old but it doesn’t get any easier and my thoughts are with you and the family.

I am a dog lover as well and just reading that last portion got me slightly choked up.
