Giveaway: Spartan Race Entry – Are You Spartan Strong? + 15% off Discount Code for ANY Spartan Race!

Hey everyone! I have a fantastic giveaway for you! How would you like to find out if you’re Spartan strong at a Spartan Race this year? If you love racing like me, you know that racing can put a serious dent in your wallet, so today I’m giving away a free race registration for one Spartan Race (+ I have a + 15% off discount code for ANY Spartan Race)! Folks – This is not your grandmother’s 5k- read on!

Spartan Race is on a mission to get you active, healthy, excited about change, and to return to your ancient roots where running through woods, getting dirty, and facing adversity was part of everyday life. The Spartan events are all about challenging today’s perception of normal. The events challenge the familiar, today’s perception of normal living and getting you out of your comfort zone! At Spartan Race, they do this everyday and it shapes everything they do. Having experienced many different racing events, Spartan Race wants to make adventure racing more accessible to everyone, but do not be fooled by the word ‘accessible’, their events have a challenge for everyone’s needs. Spartan Race now introduces a level for everyone beginning with the entry-level Spartan Sprint, intermediate level Super Spartan, the advanced Spartan Beast, and the ‘99.9% need not apply’ extreme level Death Race. Whatever your level, Spartan Race will test your strength, stamina, and sense of humor.

For 2014 Spartan Race will be in over 20 cities around the US, with a race close to where you live more than likely (or somewhere you would love to visit) including the recently announced the Hawaiian trifecta, and the upcoming Stadium Race in Philadelphia that looks incredibly cool (and challenging)! Spartan Spartan Races are “adventure races” which means you’ll face lots of different obstacles along the way. They have all levels, ranging from an entry-level sprint (3+ miles/15+ obstacles) all the way to the extreme level Death Race (basically the Hunger Games). Yikes!

Check out this awesome video that will offer even more info about the race and the obstacles:

I personally think that the most fun way to conquer a Spartan Race would be with a group of friends especially as we could motivate each other over the obstacles such as the wall climb or rope climb. There are even Spartan workouts and training groups in certain cities where you can train with your friends and others or test your hand at some of the obstacles in advance!

So who’s ready to find out if you’re SPARTAN STRONG?

Enter to win a FREE race entry for any open heat (non-confirmed start time) in any 2014 Spartan Race in the continental US by completing the Rafflecopter form below – simply follow the instructions as shown. I recently ran a 5-mile road race, something I’d never done before. It was a challenge, and I think I’m nearly ready for my first Spartan race.

My toughest obstacle was overcoming a failed marriage. Happy to say that I am stronger and better because of it.
