Fess Up Friday

ËœFessing Up and Keepin ‘ It Real

One of my favourite bloggers, Running Rachel, has asked us to ‘Fess Up and Keep it Real every Friday.  Now my original plan was to keep up with Food Friday, but I haven’t been able to find the time to type out some of our favourite recipes – Life is just too busy! (I guess that’s my first ‘Fess Up.)

'Fess Up Friday!

This week I’ve been lazy – not workout lazy – I’ve managed to find the time to run twice and got to the gym 3 times, but housework lazy.  Some weeks I’m gung ho on keeping the house CLEAN and TIDY, and other weeks I couldn’t careless.  The weather has been absolutely gorgeous and the last thing I’ve wanted to do is fold laundry laundry mountain:

Laundry Mountain

Mt. Laundry (my arch nemesis)

So instead I’ve been outside taking the kids for bike rides, walks, runs, the splashpad and to the park.  Basically staying away from the house so that I don’t have to look at what I’ve been neglecting.  I also spent the rare 3 hrs that I had to myself (Sierra was at school, Brooke was at pre-school, and Amber was napping) cleaning up my yard and planting a few flats of impatiens:

Death Row

"Before"

"After"

As I type this my 3yo (Brooke) is tossing clothes off of Mount Laundry in an effort to find *something* to wear.

QUESTION: What do you have to ‘Fess Up to? Rachel would love for us to share a post and link it up.

Your mountain of laundry looks an awful lot like my mountain of laundry. Only you have more girl clothes in yours. Spending time outside and with the kids is more fun than folding laundry anyway 😉

It certainly is! The kids helped me separate the laundry – now its in 5 different piles in the basement 🙂

LOL – laundry mountain… pretty flowers!
    Me – I. Am. A. Slob. I’m sure it’s twitter’s fault though.
And – I watch Criminal Minds all the time.
I’m thinking if I shift 15 minutes of Criminal Minds for tidying up that might help – but I’m not QUITE desperate enough 😀

I know, I’m so lucky! She’s been wanting a grandchild since my hubby was a teenager, so she’ll do anything to spend time with our daughter. I feel kind of bad when she does it …. oh yeah and she often does the ironing for hubby, lol.

I think keeping yourself and kids active wins out over laundry any day! LOL
