14 Days to a Healthier Heart, Day 3: Reduce Your Morning Stress

Hey guys! I’m sorry for posting this so late. My night got away from me last night and I wasn’t able to log on and draft a post – sorry guys I dropped the ball. That said, it was mostly because I didn’t want to add to my stress. Stress….

Coronary heart disease is also much more common in individuals subjected to chronic stress…

So tomorrow I want you to manage stress that’s brought on by time urgency.

For me, this is the morning rush to get the girls ready for school/daycare, leaving the house and dropping them off. I swear my blood pressure rises every morning while I try to herd my cats (feed & dress the kids) and get to work “on time”. In order to manage that stress I’m preparing lunches tonight, and going to bed early in order to wake up earlier. (hence why this post is short)

Tonight, brainstorm:

  • What time urgency stress do you have?
  • How could you better manage it?
  • What preparations can you make to help reduce that stress?

Then tomorrow act on your plan & let me know if you felt less stressed.

HAVE A GREAT NIGHT!

Time urgency stress: allocating half hour in the morning for workout
What to do better: wake up 5-10min earlier (I.e 6:05-6:10)
Preparation: write out the specific workout program the day before so that I don’t have to waste precious minutes trying to figure it out the morning of.
