Somewhat Wordless Wednesday: Weddings, Birthdays, Fireworks and More

Happy Tuesday Wednesday everyone!

I am so sorry for pretty much dropping off of the face of this planet these past two weeks. My normally busy life has gone into warp speed and went from a manageable level of busyness to a ridiculous amount of busyness. On the plus side I can definitely say that life has been anything but boring these past few weeks and I honestly wouldn’t trade it for the world. I have so much to tell you and share with you but I just haven’t had time to write about everything so I thought I would instead dump out half of my camera roll from my phone into a blog post, after all a picture says a thousand words right?

When I last posted I was heading into the two-week taper before IM 70.3 Muskoka –my training was done and it was time to cruise on into race day. I had planned some easier workouts but after 3 days of light workouts I woke up to a nice chest infection that progressed to laryngitis. To get better I “rested” by not exercising, but our social calendar was still pretty full.

My daughters enjoyed their last day of school:

I helped out at my daughter’s Select Softball team’s practice (I helped coach the catchers), then went to my beautiful cousin’s wedding in Toronto:

And hung out with my bro at the wedding:

The next night I headed back to Toronto for the New Kids on the Block concert with 4 of my friends:

Then the next night I coached my daughter’s houseleague softball game (we’re the red team):

and spent several nights unsuccessfully learning how to change tires and flat tires on my bike…oy!

On Canada Day we celebrated with a pool party, red drinks and firecrackers:

Then finally it was time to head up to Huntsville for IM 70.3 Muskoka with my best running friend and awesome Sherpa, Juliette:

Then the next day I did IM 70.3 Muskoka (I owe ya a race recap) and on facebook I posted a spoiler:

Yep… I finished!! Next post will be my 1/2 ironman race recap, stay tuned!!
