Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!!  I hope you all had a lucky GREEN day!  When you have kids partying on a Monday night makes for a REALLY long rest of the week….  so I celebrated this past Friday night at my friend Juliette’s house, complete with festive party favors:

And GREEN Lemon Meringue Pie (because after all, Friday was Pi day):

My picture doesn’t do it justice, the inside was VERY green!

We also had some light GREEN margaritas:

And enjoyed this AMAZING cake made by Emily for Tara’s Birthday (Happy Birthday Tara!)

We then played a very LONG game if IQ 2000

(I haven’t played this game since I was a kid!)

The game was really challenging because it’s from 1984.  We had to remember things from “back in the day”, things like “Who is the Prime Minister of the UK?”.  Currently it’s David Cameron, but in 1984 it was Margaret Thatcher.  I teamed up with Laura who carried my through because apparently I was asleep in 1984.

Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures of myself at the party, nor at work today (I made sure to wear a green blouse).  But I did manage to celebrate in my own special way today, I went out for a nice ST. Patrick’s Day run on my lunch. All in all I had a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day!

When oh when will the green grass be back?!?

Now it’s your turn… How did you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?

I wouldn’t remember anything from 1984, we were just kids! Still sounds pretty fun, though.

I need to get back to these group postings. Been busy with the ones that bring in the $$$. We did nothing for St. Patty’s day even though we have a large Irish background. Bad us! Looks like you had a great day.

LOL – I need to do the opposite 🙂 I have quite a few outstanding reviews & giveaways to do, but I find it so hard to concentrate on them after a full work day. I’d much rather spend my evenings writing from the heart.

Looks like you had a great St.Patrick’s party! I didn’t end up really doing any celebrating. I was feeling too crappy with my crummy allergies yesterday to muster up the energy to go out.

Oh my gosh..lemon meringue pie!! My mother used to make that for me for every birthday {homemade} with meyer lemons. I love that pie my most fave. I went to Pure Barre class on St. Patty day and just chilled at home for a quiet evening with family. We had The Color Run the next day in San Francisco, super fun 🙂
